Quiet patio in back of restaurant to have breakfast. Coffee is outstanding! I had Lemon Gingerbread pancakes and spicy Marquez sausage - both very tasty. Usually on the weekend it is so crowded that I could not get in, but at 9:30 am on a Friday there was plenty of room. I would definitely go back!

We had lunch at Chez Panisse to celebrate Berkeley Haas graduation. Our meal was a great success. I have never had such a good pesto. We even kept asking for more bread. All three courses were delicious. Well worth the price.

I liked the French food the best, everything was delicious and the food was worth the wait, the food was good, this place is popular and the queues are long so I recommend calling early to make a reservation.

It was a cold night in Berkeley and we felt the warmth at La Note. If you don&rsquo;t mind sitting just inches from the table next to you and hearing the whole conversation, this is the place for you. The menu was varied and there were plenty to choose from. I ordered steak (cow shoulder steak) with the seasoning (fine aromatherapy, garlic mixed with oil and vinegar) and my boyfriend ordered marseille soup. We liked the big portions and the price was reasonable but hopefully the food here has more spices. Maybe we will come here for breakfast next time.
